INT. CH. HAMILTON'S GOLDEN BOY AKA "OSCAR"

Oscar is a red fawn Bullmastiff. He was born March 7, 2002 and was a gift for helping to deliver a litter for a local breeder. He has a personality that doesn't quit and puts a smile on anyone's face that meets him. He thinks every dog was put here to be his playmate. His temperament is absolutely flawless. Oscar was shown conformation, in AKC he received 3 points and was finished to his International Championship by my friend Gail Henry of SunnyDaze Corgis.  After receiving his Int. Ch. title we decided to retire him because even though the judges felt he was politically correct for size and conformation he was not the bulked up beefy looking bullmastiff you see in the ring today. One judge said he was one of the nicest looking bullmastiffs he had ever seen. As a small puppy he got pneumonia and we think that is what prevented him from bulking up to the type of bullmastiff you usually see. The judges we talked to felt he may be able to be finished in the AKC ring but it would take a long time so we just decided to let him be a couch potato. It is sad though because it was no secret he loved to be in the ring or even just puppy class and usually drew a crowd where ever he was. We lost Oscar September 17, 2009, he quietly went to sleep with his head on his favorite toy. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten because he will live on in our hearts forever.
